147 - Debt Settlement Proposal-Unsolicited

An unsolicited offer is what you propose to pay your creditors without having an initial talk regarding settlement of your debt. The Unsolicited Offer Letter helps you to have the first written communication on debt settlement with your creditor. This letter is intended to be used in conjunction with the Debt Settlement Agreement letter.

Re: Debt Settlement Proposal-Unsolicited

Account Number ____________________

After a long period of financial crisis, I'm finally in a position where I can take care of my debt with your company. I would appreciate any efforts your company is willing to take in order to help me resolve my debt problems. I'm sincerely trying to settle this debt and pay it off as fast as I can.

The amount I am proposing to pay towards full settlement of my debt is $ ______________. Additionally, I request that you remove any late payments or charge-off on this account from my credit report.

I am currently negotiating my debt with several creditors and I have a limited amount of money to pay my creditors. So, I have decided to settle only those debts where I can satisfy the terms and conditions as mutually agreed on between myself and my creditors.

I have already reached acceptable settlements with a few of creditors and I doubt whether I will have enough funds available at the end of this month. I'd like to improve my credit rating and if you can help me do so, I'd be willing to offer you some additional money as part of my settlement.

If you find the above terms and conditions acceptable, please sign the attached letter of agreement and send me a copy. Upon receipt of this agreement, I shall forward you the agreed amount through money order.

Sincerely,
